Physical access control systems. What are they? When you think of cyber security, most people often think of protecting critical data over enterprise networks. Site security however is probably not given its due consideration. Perhaps this is because it doesn't have the same appeal as hackers on a computer somewhere barreling deep into a secure private network siphoning off exo-bytes of high value data, but rest assure that being able to secure the physical servers that the critical data resides on is just as important. This paper is going to cover the importance of physical access controls and how they play a pivotal role in keeping the facilities that store our critical data secure.
